Family man Albert Denhaerynck founds BVBA Denhaerynck in 1943 to manufacture hairnets. In 1952, shortly after the Second World War, the family moves production to a larger facility in Oudenaarde. The product line expands to include combs and hairdressing capes under the brand name Sibel, changing to Prosibel in 1964. In 1997, Prosibel acquires its main French competitor Nelson: Bob Tuo Prosibel/Nelson becomes Sinelco International.
